Youth Book Collection Supporting Temple Talents Centre in Uganda

We are thrilled to share that the Voorschoten-Wassenaar Library and the Zula Kids Project in the Netherlands have launched a special initiative to collect English children’s and youth books for the children at Temple Talents Centre in Uganda. You can read more here

Led by the inspiring young brothers Zuilu (14) and Alula (12), the Zula Kids Project was born during the COVID-19 pandemic and has since been dedicated to helping children through thoughtful community projects. This September, they have chosen to support our children, many of whom have experienced the impact of conflict in their communities.

The books collected will help our children, aged 7–17, explore new worlds through reading, strengthen their learning, and fuel their creativity. At Temple Talents Centre, we guide children through music, art, computer skills, and reading programs, and these new books will be a wonderful addition to our library and learning activities.

We are deeply grateful to the Voorschoten-Wassenaar Library, the Zula Kids Project, and everyone contributing to this initiative. Your support brings joy, knowledge, and hope to our children and strengthens our mission of nurturing young minds.

We look forward to receiving the books and celebrating this wonderful collaboration. More information can be found on the library’s website (Dutch).
