Who We Are
Temple Talents is a learning and creative organisation based in Soroti City, Uganda. We work with children and young people in low-income urban communities, particularly those living in informal settlements where access to books, learning resources and creative opportunities is limited.
Some of these communities have roots in the LRA-era conflict, when families displaced from across Teso sought refuge in Soroti, including on public land and school grounds. Some families remained after the conflict, and as the city has grown, land reclamation and disputes over land occupied without secure tenure have brought further displacement. For some families, this has meant renewed uncertainty over where they live, their livelihoods and their children's schooling.
