Talent is everywhere. Instruments are not.
At our learning centre, children share the few instruments we have—taking turns, practising in short moments, and learning patiently while waiting for their chance. Yet even in those brief moments, their joy is unmistakable. Your gently used ukulele, guitar, keyboard, harp, or any playable instrument you are willing to give can become a child’s first real opportunity to learn, practise, and discover their voice through music.

Books are often the first doorway to lifelong learning. Yet for many of the children we work with in Soroti City, owning a book, or even reading one regularly, happens for the first time at Temple Talents.

We accept gently used and new books.
A book in a child’s hands can change the direction of their life.
Before joining our programmes, most children rely on overcrowded classrooms, outdated materials, or no books at all. Storybooks, textbooks, and reference materials are scarce both at home and in school. Through partnerships and community drives, we are building a growing children’s library where reading becomes a daily habit, not a rare privilege. Each donated book helps reduce sharing, supports literacy and opens new worlds of possibility for children.
Why this matters: Reading strengthens language, confidence, and critical thinking—skills that support children not only in school, but throughout life.

Access to a computer can transform how a child learns, creates, and connects with the world. Yet many of the children and young people we work with in Soroti City have never even touched a computer.

Digital skills should not be a privilege.
At Temple Talents Foundation, shared computers allow children to practise basic digital literacy—typing, research, creative writing, and guided learning activities. Even limited access builds confidence and curiosity. A donated laptop or desktop—new or gently used—helps us reduce sharing, extend learning time, and prepare young people with skills that matter in today’s world.
